This is completely unrelated, but I remember this Rosemead Bl pic from the 40s! This is looking east on Garvey, so it’s now got a McDonalds and a Mobil station on the left, and I guess the Alfredo’s on the right, and the near corner on the right is the strip mall with the Vege Vietnamese restaurant.
