in this country, “nonprofit” isn’t a philosophy, it’s a tax category. the purpose of a nonprofit is to bring labor (or resources, or even systems) into a condition where it may be employed (bought, or leased) profitably by the buyers (or renters) in the market.
doing things for free isn’t “nonprofit”. that’s just doing things for free. it’s gifts… if that.
Yeah, yeah. My brain wasn’t going at 100% when I wrote that.
