Tech Bazillionaires Paid for Anti-Unhoused Anti-Camping Law in San Francisco in 2016

I didn’t know about this law, but I think Los Angeles folks should learn about it. It’s called Proposition Q, and it was passed in 2016. The law prohibits tents on public property.

(One thing I noticed on the thread is that Henry George’s idea of a land value tax is popular up there.  I used to be into that idea, for a moment, but I’m back to a more normal idea of progressive taxes on everything.)

I believe this tweet above was motivated by this protest about the right to pitch a tent.

I think those are rental scooters that people leave around the City.
